Right now during the Tour I have both problems at once, depending on the time of day.  But the flat stages can be dull, and while waiting for something to happen yesterday I came across the Suburban Assault blog and Flickr pool.  In their own words, it’s

about riding around our neighborhoods, towns or cities to discover more about where we live. We’re bringing back the grass roots nature of riding just to ride. No categories. No classifications. Just two wheels, two pedals and a love for riding and discovering.

… and taking pictures along the way. Which is my kind of riding.
